✈️ Meteorito Aerolíneas: New Era in Peruvian Aviation

In the middle of 2024 an international investment fund from the United Arab Emirates acquired a controlling stake in the Peruvian airline Movil Air S.A.C., marking the beginning of significant transformations within the company ✈️. The airline’s history dates back to the year 2000 🗓 when it initially offered sightseeing flights over the Nazca Desert geoglyphs 🛩🗿. Over time, the company’s fleet included Cessna-207A and Cessna-208 Grand Caravan aircraft ✈️.

The airline operates under an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) in accordance with RAP-135 regulations 📋, issued by the General Directorate of Civil Aeronautics of Peru 🛃. Flights are conducted from the airports of the city of Nazca 🛫🌄.

Since July 2024 the company has been undergoing a rebranding process 🔄. The new name of the airline is Meteorito Aerolíneas S.A.C. ☄️🛫. In August 2024 a new CEO joined the team — an experienced pilot 👨‍✈️, a former military general 🎖 — along with several other highly qualified aviation executives 🧑‍💼, strengthening the company’s management team 💼.

In October 2024 Meteorito Aerolíneas opened a new office in a prestigious district of Lima 🏙, the capital of Peru.

For 2025 the company has ambitious development plans 🚀, including certification under RAP-121 regulations 📑 and the launch of operations with medium- and wide-body aircraft such as the Airbus A320, Boeing 737, Airbus A330, and Boeing 777 ✈️🌐 on domestic and international routes 🌍.
